Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage Course

Lomi Lomi is Hawaiian for ‘rub rub’. Lomi also means "to rub, knead, press, squeeze, massage; to work in and out, as the claws of a contented cat."It is an ancient practice of massage handed down through generations by native Hawaiian Shaman or Kahuna. The Kahuna can be classified as the Shamans of Hawaii. As with other Shamans throughout the world, the Kahuna were the keepers of the wisdom and spirituality of their race. They were respected as healers and visionaries that would shepherd their people through life and help guide them on the path to spiritual enlightenment.

Lomi lomi is a form of massage used to activate an inner state of self, realization, similar to that attained in deep meditation. Lomi lomi combines prayer and the acknowledgment of existence of a higher power along with ku or intuition as an integral part of its techniques.
